Christmas Sunday

It is so fun getting the kids all dressed up in Christmas dresses on Sunday. It doesn't look like they were having as much fun as I was!:)

Girl Party!!!

On Friday night Paul had all of his brothers, my brother and his dad over for a long overdue boys night. Of course this meant me and my girls had to scram! We seriously had the best night ever!!!! The night started off with manicures at Sweet and Sassy, a salon just for little girls. Skylar just sat at the table with her hands up like a pro, having a full conversation with the lady doing her nails. Then they sprayed her hair with glitter and put a glitter heart on her cheek (needless to say, we are still finding glitter everywhere!:) After that we went to the movie theater and got ice cream and played in the arcade. Skylar loved the driving game and beat me at the one where you just have to steer (so embarrasing!) Then after that we went to Enchanted. It was so cute!!! Everyone was looking at me like I was crazy, with a 2 1/2 year old and a 4 month old at an 8 oclock movie, but we had so much fun. Kendall just sat in my lap, and never cried, and Skylar loved the movie and was singing and dancing in the aisle. We had such a fun girl night, I can't wait to do it again!

Man, I am realizing how boring I am!! It was really hard to come up with 7 random things, but here goes! :)
1-When I am in the car, I totally have to JAM out to the music. We are not just talking about singing, I mean dancing, hand movements, everything!
2-This ones kind of embarassing, but I LOVE America's Next Top Model! Whenever I see reruns on I have to watch them. I don't know what it is, but that show is so addicting!
3-I am way anal about my daughters closets! Everything besides pjs are hung up, and they have to be hung up in outfits, grouped by which store I got them from. This is especially wierd if you could see my closet, not organized at ALL!
4-When I was younger, it was my ultimate dream to star in a Broadway Musical, Les Miz would have been my first pick!
5-I love holiday traditions!!! It doesn't matter what the holiday, but I love doing fun things, especially now that Skylar is getting a little bit older. Some we have stolen from my family (valentines man, Perry Como CD Christmas morning) some from Paul's family (Christmas letters) and some that are just our own!
6-Before I had kids I could only picture me with sons. Now that I have two daughters I can't believe how much I enjoy all of our girl parties!! Painting our nails, wearing tiaras, watching a movie and eating popcorn! I LOVE my girls!!
7-Being a mom has made me such a better person!!! I still have so much to work on, but something about looking at my little angels makes me want to be so much better! My children are two of my greatest blessings!!

Sorry if that was super boring! :)

Too Fast!!

This whole baby thing is going by way too fast the second time around. I cannot believe in 2 weeks I will have a 4 month old! With Skylar I was always so excited for her to do the next thing and grow up, but with Kendall I just want her to stay my sweet little baby girl. When I look at her newborn pictures I am blown away with how much she has changed. She is starting to sleep almost 12 hours at night, and tries to sit up all by herself! And if you don't think she is getting much bigger, just take a look at those cheeks! Oh, I just squeeze her and kiss her all day! Some days I really miss my little 5 pounder, but I know I am SO blessed with my "preemies", because they are so well developed and catch up so quickly. Geez, if two is this wonderful, wouldn't three be even better? ;)

Happy Thanksgiving!

We had such a wonderful Thanksgiving this year! My mom and my little brothers were able to come from California to spend the holiday with us. We have not been with them on Thanksgiving for 7 or 8 years, so it was great! On Friday night we went to Temple Square to see the lights turn on. It is an awesome family tradition and we had a great (although it was FREEZING!) time! I could not get over how cute my little girls looked! Then on Saturday we did some shopping at Gardner Village and just enjoyed being with family. I hope everyone else had as great a weekend as we did!

Indian and Pilgrim Week

So this week Skylar has been learning all about pilgrims and indians. We colored lots of pictures, made indian headbands and today made little pilgrim hat treats! She amazes me with how smart she is! When you ask her what the indians gave the pilgrims she says "food!" and when you ask her the name of the boat the pilgrims came to America on, she says "Mayflower!" We have had the best week!

My little singer!

So before Skylar will go down for her nap I usually have to sing her three songs, I love to see the Temple, I am a child of God and Families can be together forever. But lately she has been wanting to do the singing. I think she sounds soooo cute! And if you can't tell the song is I am a Child of God!

Five years already!?!

Yesterday we were able to bless our beautiful daughter Kendall, and it got me to thinking about how grateful I am for my wonderful husband Paul. We celebrated our fifth anniversary in the hospital, having our sweet little Kendall. With that going on the anniversary definitely got put on the back burner! It is amazing how fast time flies, I cannot even remember my life before Paul was as part of it! I think as a mom I get so wrapped up in taking care of my kids, sometimes I take for granted the wonderful husband that I have. I love you Paul!!

Hello world of Blogging!!

Well here we go!! I swore I would not start a blog, because I am on the computer enough as it is. But as I have been looking at everyone elses it is so fun to see all the big and little things going on in your lives! So we will start and see how it goes! We are just in recovery mode from Halloween. For those of you that know Skylar, the last thing she needs is sugar! She is off the wall as it is!! But we had a great time taking her out in the neighborhood and going trick-or-treating. She couldn't get enough and kept asking to go to one more house. She loved telling everyone "Happy Halloween!!" Kendall was a doll and loved being pushed around in the stroller while Skylar nabbed all the candy she could! So fun!!
