Tagged!

My cute friend Steph tagged me a while back, and I am finally getting around to it! So here goes, 7 things about me you probably wouldn't know.

1-Growing up I was the BIGGEST tomboy. I mean, basketball shorts, soccer socks, sweatshirts and bball shoes was my everyday school apparel. Cute, right ;)

2-My most favorite thing to eat is grilled cheese sandwiches with applesauce. Paul thinks it is gross, but it is a Chamberlain family favorite!

3-My biggest fear is that I won't be a good enough mom. Every morning and night without fail begin by me on my knees praying that I can do enough to be deserving of the amazing kids I have been blessed with. I often feel inadequate, but have also been incredibly strengthened and edified. My children are such a gift!

4-Every night before Paul and I go to bed we watch Whose Line is it Anyways. So random, I know, but for some reason it makes us laugh sooo hard!

5-I love labor!! Some of you will call me crazy, but I have a lot of cute friends that have recently had adorable babies, and hearing about their birth makes me jealous! I can't get over the amazing miracle and joy of having a baby. All the work and pain makes it so much more incredible when you actually get to hold this little baby that you helped create. My grandma told me when I was having Skylar that having a baby is the closest you will get to heaven on this earth and that is exactly how I have felt with my children. Especially when I was able to hold Kendall right after I had her, that is one of my most treasured memories.

6-You know how most women see themselves fatter in the mirror than they really are? I have the opposite problem! After I have my babies, I think I look fabulous :) Then I finally weigh myself and I am absolutely shocked!! Where could that 25 lbs possibly be hiding? It is really quite funny, it takes me a good six months to realize I might want to think about working on that :)

7-I love talk radio. Any kind. Sports, politics, news, gardening, doesn't matter I will listen to it! When I worked that was all I listened to all day and I got hooked on Dr. Laura, Bob Launsberry, and Sean Hannity. Good times, now I am totally out of the loop on all things political, actually on all things! :)

Tulip Festival

So much fun! The only thing that would have made it better would have been if there were actually tulips in bloom :) I guess thats what we get for going two days after it snowed. Still, the gardens were gorgeous and we really just enjoyed getting out in the sun and spending the day together.

Date Night

Ahhh, date night. Can I just say how much I LOVE having a great babysitter! We went out on Friday and had a great time! It was so wonderful to know the kids were being taken care of and having lots of fun. We have amazing family that is more than willing to help out with watching our kids, but we always feel bad asking them, and then we try to be home early so they are not out too late, and it just gets a little difficult. So thanks Jaylee, you are the BEST!! Back to our date night:) Camille, this will make you laugh. Paul calls me right before to tell me he was just leaving and he was going to be late. Of course. He is always late when we or I have somewhere we have to be. Right before he called I had walked into the living room to find Skylar spraying Windex on Kendall. She said she was trying to clean her shirt. So obviously, I was in a bad mood! You know how you get so crazy trying to get the kids ready, get the house straitened, everything ready for the sitter, oh yeah, and not look like a total scrunge for your hot date! Anyway, I am doing all that and the doorbell rings. Then I am really mad, because I figure the sitter got here before Paul. This is what I open the door to...

How cute is that! While I was being a total BRAT because I thought my husband was late, he was actually waiting down the street so they could deliver this amazing fruit-flower thing! And boy was it good! It had chocolate covered strawberries and pineapple and lots of delicious stuff. It was so thoughtful and I loved it! Thanks babe!
We had made reservations at The Melting Pot, I was so excited because I have been wanting to go there forever. It was so great! Really fun atmoshpere and great food. We just sat and talked and ate for 2 1/2 hours, it was so much fun! After that we tried to make a movie, but they were all starting too late, so we just drove around and talked some more and enjoyed each others company. Seriously, one of our best date nights ever!!

How cute are those three?! I came in from doing the laundry on Thursday night, and this is what I found. I loved in Elder Ballard's talk in Conference when he said we need unscheduled family time in our homes. This is the result of our unsheduled time, and frankly, it usually turns out much better than our over-planned family time :) What would I do without these three?

It's Back!

and it is about time!! The Office is absolutely without a doubt our favorite show on TV. If you are not watching it, you should!! I hear people either love it or hate it, and we definitely love it!

Our newest hobby...

the Tango! Paul and I started a ballroom class last night, and it was a blast! We seriously had such a great time. And if I do say so myself, we are not terrible :) I think we caught on pretty quickly, and really had a lot of fun. The most amazing part?? It was Paul's idea! What a guy :) And to make the night even better, my kids were great for the babysitter (first time we have ever HAD a babysitter!) Skylar was asking when she could come back again. I think the hardest part about the Tango is keeping a straight face! Paul and I are the biggest nerds, we couldn't stop laughing. Watch out So You Think You Can Dance, here we come :)

Spiritually Fed!

I feel so uplifted and inspired after watching and participating in this mornings Solemn Assembly. I feel so blessed to have been able to stand and raise my right hand to sustain our new Prophet and First Presidency. I got emotional as I watched my amazing husband stand and do the same, thinking of all the saints all over the world showing their love and support with their sustaining faith. I have a renewed determination to sustain our Prophet not only with my words, but mostly with my heart and my actions, to be better. I love conference, and I especially love the oppurtunity to teach Skylar about a living prophet and share my testimony with her. I can't wait for tomorrow!! :)
